NVQs Level 2

Entry Requirements for all levels: 

Initial assessment to ensure candidate has the potential and opportunity to gain evidence for the qualification.

Time:                   Day Release

                               

                                 Monday or Tuesday 9.00 – 3.30pm

Duration:           Varies depending on ability

   

Start Date:         Ongoing throughout the year.

NVQ in Business & Administration Level 1-2

Courses aim to equip learners with the skills & knowledge to pursue a career in Business Administration and to equip learners with skills in Business & Administration. 

NVQ In Business & Administration Level 3

To equip learners with skills in Business & Administration 

Information Technology

Progression: 

NVQs Level 2 can lead to job opportunities in a bank, solicitors, accountants, civil service offices, etc; or progression to Level 3.

Information Technology Levels 1-3

To equip learners with the skills to use a range of I.T. software and to equip them for employment in data entry. Level 3 equips learners with the skills and knowledge to manage a range of ICT systems in a business environment. 

BCS Information Technology User Level 1

      

Candidates must complete a total of three modules: Basic Concepts of Information Technology; Using the Computer and Managing Files and Information and Communication 

Progression:

On completion of the course you will receive your BCS IT User Level 1 Certificate. You can progress on to the Full European Computer Driving License (ECDL) by finishing three modules: Basic concepts of information and managing files; information & communication. You can also progress to BCS Information Technology User Level 2

BCS Information Technology User Level 2

      

Candidates must complete a total of five Modules:  Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Presentation and Unit E: Using Information Technology 

Progression:

On completion of the course you will receive your BCS IT User Level 2 Certificate. You can progress on to a Full European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) by finishing three modules: Basic Concepts of Information and Managing Files; Information & Communication.

OCR Professional Certificate in Text Processing Levels 1-3

      

Candidates will develop skills to support them in a business environment. Level 3 candidates will be able to apply advanced processing and production skills to a variety of complex business documents.

 OCR Business Professional Stages 1-3 Certificates in Word Processing 

The Text & Word Processing suite of qualifications has been designed to develop and recognise candidate’s ability to produce a variety of straightforward business documents to meet the requirements of employment. Level 3 aims to develop the skills & knowledge to produce a variety of complex and specialist business documents.

EUROPEAN COMPUTER DRIVING LICENCE (ECDL)

Candidates must complete a total of seven modules: Basic Concepts of Information Technology; Using the Computer and Managing Files; Information and Communication; Word Processing; Spreadsheets; Database; Presentation.

Principles of Business & Administration Level 2- 3

This qualification gives candidates an understanding of the role of administration within the organisation. The award consists of two units, which may be certificated separately.

NOCN – Developing Employability Skills for a Career in Business Administration/I.T.
